EASY-CERT states that the applicant is responsible for the product meeting legal requirements and being marketable in Austria. What exactly does EASY-CERT confirm?
The document confirms that the assessed product may be used in organic production under the rules and standards it names. It is not a certificate for an organic food product and it does not guarantee any particular agronomic result.
How often is the confirmation renewed?
The confirmation is renewed annually. Before use, check that the current confirmation is available.
Does it need to be cleared with the control body?
The holding must comply with the requirements of its control body and with applicable local rules. If in doubt, submit the document and the intended use for checking.
Does this mean the product is “100% Bio”?
No. The product has been assessed and permitted for use in organic production under the conditions of the document.
